Field day labeled “LEBAGRI Innovation Day” on the grounds of its Bekaa Trial Station, the Lebanese avant-garde agricultural company ROBINSON AGRI put on display innovations in Lebanese agriculture in the areas of supply chain management, hydroponics, smart irrigation systems, and new hybrid varieties, in collaboration with the Dutch seeds breeder Rijk Zwaan. Pioneering in horticulture since several decades, ROBINSON AGRI contributed to the heightening of the quality and productivity of Lebanese crops and produce, namely in cucumber, carrots, watermelons, lettuce, tomato, eggplant, pepper, bean. LEBAGRI Innovation Day featured an intervention by the Lebanese Agri-Food Innovation Cluster, which is supported by Berytech.
Robinson Agri, renowned for innovative agricultural products and services in Lebanon and the Mena region, announced its newly-contracted representation of Rain Bird International, one of the leading irrigation manufacturers in the world and provider of products and services for landscapes, golf courses, sports fields, and agriculture, designed to minimize water consumption.
Under the patronage of H.E. Minister of Agriculture, Mr. Ghazi Zaiter, and in the presence of H.E. Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. J Gebran Bassil, Dutch Ambassador Mr. Han-Maurits Schaapveld (Embassy of the Netherlands in Lebanon), and a number of senior officials and representatives of local and international organizations, Robinson Agri held the opening ceremony of its Nursery Agrigrow.
With the support of Dutch partner GrowGroup the event held on April 21st 2017, included a field visit to the nursery in Kouba where all participants from all Lebanese regions toured the facilities and trial stations.
The field visit was followed by a ceremony and lunch at Batrouniyat Restaurant where both Ministers, Dutch Ambassador, Robinson Agri COO Mrs. Nadine Khoury, GrowGroup, Rijk Zwaan & sponsor Bank Audi Lebanon representatives gave their speech
